Building the hospital room of the future...

Airwave Healthcare is proud to be working with Future HealthSpaces, supporting the creation of a digitally enabled hospital ‘room of the future’ that reflects the ambitions of the government’s New Hospital Programme (NHP).

Future HealthSpaces is a purpose-built facility in London’s Farringdon that brings together NHS Trusts, clinicians, architects, technical specialists, and supply chain contributors. The aim is simple but ambitious: to test, refine, and demonstrate how healthcare spaces can be designed and delivered better, faster, and with patients at the heart.

Why this matters...

The New Hospital Programme isn’t just about bricks and mortar — it’s about future-proofing healthcare environments. Lessons from previous hospital builds have shown the importance of designing in flexibility, digital capability, and patient-focused solutions from the very beginning. Future HealthSpaces exists to capture those lessons and translate them into practice.
