Airwave is delighted to have been awarded the prestigious contract to install the patient entertainment system at the new £842 million children’s ward at South Glasgow hospital.

The new build site will include maternity, children and adult acute hospitals, state of the art laboratory services and the biggest critical care complex and emergency department in Scotland.

The new IPTV patient entertainment system will incorporate the latest in bed side screen and arm technologies and provide a state of the art home-from-home experience, offering an excellent distraction for and anxiety reduced stay.

Each of the 268 rooms will have a bedside 1.8metre, wall mounted arm with white Samsung healthcare TVs incorporating Airwave’s innovative AirMedia smart application. The solution will include newly developed gyroscopic remote controls which an in-built keyboard.
