Ceiling Pole Mounted TV

Ceiling Pole

A fixed pole, ceiling mounted at the foot of the patient bed. The pole extends to a wide range, is fixed to the slab ceiling (or Unistrut within the ceiling void) then protrudes through the suspended ceiling (chrome finishing ring is available) to the optimum height from the floor, depending on TV model selected.

Pole lengths available from 5” through to 36”.

In multi bedded areas and bays the position would be inside the curtain area allowing each patient their own TV viewing ‘space’ without being disturbed or disturbing others.

TV’s with multi remote set up should be chosen in multi bedded areas to prevent cross ‘zapping’ within the bay.

Noise pollution can be minimised or eliminated by incorporating audio boxes fitted at the bed head or audio socket in trunking, and the use of headphones.

For a good example of ceiling pole mounted TV in a multi bedded ward please refer to the Airwave Healthcare Case Study at Bart’s & Royal London Renal Unit, The Gateway Centre at Newham General Hospital.
