Audio Plug and Play
When TV and radio is available in multi bedded areas, for everyone’s comfort, Trusts often request that equipment is listened to through headphones.
TV’s on arms are normally placed close to the patient and headphones then plug directly into the TV or backplate where fitted which instantly cuts sound through the TV speakers.
When the TV is mounted on a wall or ceiling pole, and therefore further away from the user. Then, in order to avoid dangerous trailing wires we recommend the addition of extended audio cables from the TV to a socket fitted around the bed head. Either to an independent box or to a socket fitted into existing bed head trunking.
Likewise, extended cables which connect devices such as DVD players and Xbox games to the TV screen can be fitted. Some hospitals request other sockets such as scart or HDMI. Airwave Healthcare will design a box and/or faceplate and cable system to meet your requirements.
