St Gemma's Hospice Leeds
Airwave install Freeview TV with DVD
St Gemma's Hospice in Leeds provides specialist medical and nursing care for people with life threatening illnesses, predominantly cancer, along with support for their families
To enhance their in-patient’s experience, the hospice decided to add freeview TV’s with DVD at each of their 28 patient beds. Installing gas assisted ceiling arms meant patients could remain independent, choosing when and what they preferred to watch without troubling ward staff for assistance.
The addition of the optional Ergomount handles allows pulling the arm down and manoeuvring it to the optimum position much easier for patients.

The TV and arm can be quickly and easily pushed away by staff for instance when changing the bed, tending to the patient or operating the ceiling mounted hoist on its track. The fully articulated Ergomount arm provides patients with any number of viewing positions from lying in bed to sitting in the bedside chair. Full side to side movement of the arm as well as tilt and swivel of the TV itself.
