Nuffield Bristol Hospital – The Chesterfield

12 March 2014 10:06

The new Nuffield Health Bristol Hospital - The Chesterfield, was officially launched on Monday 14 October 2013 with the Lord Mayor of Bristol, Faruk Choudhury, cutting the ribbon to the new state-of-the-art facility. The new Nuffield Health Bristol Hospital is a Centre of Excellence for minimally invasive keyhole surgery and the first fully digital hospital in the South West.  The £20 million investment will combine leading-edge clinical facilities with an outstanding customer experience. Clifton Court, originally built in 1742, is the centerpiece of The Chesterfield Hospital, which has been part of the Nuffield Health family since 1961. Whilst retaining and restoring the historic Grade II listed building itself, Nuffield built an entirely new hospital on the site.

Nuffield Health selected Airwave Healthcare to install a range of Samsung flat screens throughout the site including the latest state of the art  40” Samsung LED TVs into the 29 deluxe en-suite patient rooms and additional screens in consulting rooms and day-case units.

The hospital is aspiring towards building a completely interactive high level patient entertainment system for the future with features such as room control, internet access and nurse call, and although not implemented at this point, the purchasing of these Samsung screens allows the hospital to future proof and add features later.
